Otter Tail Lake is known for it's optimal walleye fishing and clean, shallow water for swimming. There are gorgeous sun rises and sunsets on the lake and you will hear an occasional loon singing to you. At 1100 square feet, our quiet, lakefront cabin has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The first two bedrooms have a queen-size bed and the third bedroom has a bunk bed (twin over a full). We do have a pack and play for babies or toddlers available upon request. Both bathrooms have a stand up shower. The cabin has a full kitchen and living room that overlooks the lake. Towards the back of the cabin there is a den that is the perfect extra space for kids to play. We do have a television with a DVD player but no internet. There is also another room with a washer and dryer available for use. Linens are included but please bring your own beach towels. The public boat access is 2 miles from the cabin. The Otter Tail area is great for vacationing. There are several nearby shops to enjoy, Thumper Pond and Balmoral golf courses, and plenty of delicious restaurants in the area. This property sits about 35 ft from the lake with 150 ft of lake frontage. It also borders on the dead river with access to Walker lake. This is a wonderful place for kids. The water in this area is relatively shallow and sandy. The cabin has 3 bedrooms, one has a double bed the other two have full size beds. The kitchen has a stove, microwave, dishwasher, toaster and coffee maker. Cooking and eating utensils are provided. Cable TV and Wi-Fi are available. There is a large concrete patio in front of the cabin and a gas and a charcoal grill as well as picnic tables and lawn chairs are provided. There is a full kitchen furnished with almost everything you'd have at home; with a full stainless fridge, oven, microwave, dishes, Calphalon pots and pans, cups, mugs, glasses, rice cooker, crock pots, mixer, cutting boards, pizza pan, griddle, bowls, platters, roaster, steamer, knife block, silverware, coffee pot and 4 slice toaster. The bathroom has a shower. There is a large flat panel TV with DVD player and many family friendly movies to watch. There is a good size kitchen table. A comfortable couch, loveseat and pine wood and leather rockers are found in the large living room. There is a Weber grill out back for grilling your fresh caught fish, steaks, burgers, hot dogs or chicken. The large spacious deck has wrap around seating and a wooden table that seats 8. The wooded lot is set back and deep with wonderful shade and great places for yard games. We have the largest beach in the area at 125 feet of sandy beach and you can walk out in the lake for over several hundred yards without going over your head. There is a 40 foot long dock and 2400 pound lift available for your use. Pontoon and boats are not for rent and do not go with cabin rental. A fire ring with ample woodpile allows for great lakeside bonfires at night. OtterTail Lake is one of Minnesota's premier Walleye fishing lakes at 13,728 acres (21 sq miles). It boasts holes of 75,90 and 120 feet deep and many flats and drop offs for excellent fishing and boating. There are gorgeous sunrises and beautiful moon rises and the many local loons will sing you to sleep at night. There is more lake shore in Otter Tail County than any other state in the nation with all of the other excellent local lakes. Bring your own or rent local boats, pontoons, jet skis and Kayks. Fishing Guide services are available in the area. Again, our personal pontoon and boats are not for rent and do not go with the cabin rental. You can golf at one of the numerous courses in the area including the Thumper Pond and Balmoral courses on the other side of the lake. You can shop at any of the quaint local shops in OtterTail City or within 20 minutes to Perham or Battle Lake. This is a great deal for this 3 bedroom cabin .

Glendalough and Maplewood States park offer several ways to enjoy the outdoors including walking and biking trails, kayaking, swimming, fishing and more. There are two golf courses within walking distance. An area favorite is Balmoral right across the street. It is an 18 hole par 72 that features beautifully maintained tree lined fairways that will challenge golfers of any ability. For those just interested is a quick 9 Balmoral North is a 9 hole par 27 executive course that allows for a quick leisurely round. Whatever you are interested in I'm sure you can find plenty to do in the Otter Tail Lakes area.

Lake is shallow for about a 1000 feet which means the lake is great for small kids, playing water sports in the lake, and learning to water ski. Cabin was completely remodeled in 2000 with pine walls and ceilings, heated floors and new appliances. Very large deck off the front of the cabin that is as wide as the cabin with large awning. Large level front yard for yard games. Dock extends over 100 feet into the lake. This is truly a cabin, not a lake home, experience. Otter Tail Lake is the 10th largest lake in Minnesota. This lake is never crowded or busy. There is a Zorbaz restaurant on the lake you can boat to. There is a second restaurant that you can boat to as well. The Riviera public boat launch is less than a quarter mile away. My property extends to Long Lake on the other side of the road. This is as good as it gets. Beach Bum bar and restaurant has a eclectic menu offering broasted chicken, burgers, sandwiches and sushi:). They also have regular live music on the lakeside patio afternoons and evening and yard games for kids of all ages. The Corner Store boasts freshly baked daily breads, buns and mouth watering caramel and cinnamon rolls. They have a great beach area, rent pontoons, paddle boards and kayaks as well. You are also only 6 miles from the quaint town of Battle Lake which boast many dining options including steak houses, pubs and local cafes. There is a large yard suitable for a camper. I provide a small aluminum fishing boat and motor for your use upon request. This is a private lake so there is no public access. You can put your boat in on Otter Tail Lake or many other great fishing lakes within a few mile radius. So if you want to come and chill in a beautiful home beside a private lake or go out and kick it up a little you will not be disappointed at the Round Lake Retreat! Covid 19 Update: We are currently planning on being able to welcome all of our guests with reservations for 2021 subject to the Governor of Minnesota direction. That being said we will be implementing a few changes below to help keep all of our guests and staff safe and healthy! Check in and check out times will be modified to allow additional time for cleaning and sanitizing the property. Check in 4:00 - Check out 9:00 am You will receive a text the day of your arrival with the entry information for a remote Check in. We will be following a new expanded cleaning protocol to sanitize all hard surfaces possible, high touch areas and soft surfaces (furniture, draperies, rugs). We will provide cleaning products for you to sanitize to your comfort level during your stay. We ask that each guest bring their own pillows, blankets and beach towels. We will provide sheets, bath/kitchen towels. If you prefer to bring all of your own linens let me know in advance of your stay. We will provide an initial supply of toilet paper and paper towels. You will need to bring additional amounts of these products depending on your specific needs. Deer Lake is located within just a mile of Ottertail Lake. Our cabin is furnished with hand crafted log furniture. It has 3 bedrooms and one bath. The cabin features a jacuzzi tub, washer/dryer and a pool table available for your use. Bedrooms include a master bedroom with a queen sized bed, Bedroom #2 has a set of twin over twin bunk beds and Bedroom #3 has a queen sized bed. This is a great place for families. You will enjoy the beautiful sunsets that shine over Deer Lake in the evenings as you enjoy the outdoor patio area or sitting around the campfire. Large open space in home that is ideal for gatherings.
